Learning to speak and write in Greek is a key asset towards social empowerment and the elimination of discrimination. It ultimately serves the aim of a smooth integration process into the Greek society and the labor market. In particular, providing Greek language lessons to women  who  experience multiple discrimination, is a practical application of Article 10  (Multiple Discriminations or Exclusion) and Article 13 (Education and  Lifelong learning) of the European Charter for promoting gender equality and combatting discrimination.

The lessons, along with the educational material, are provided FREE of charge by experienced Greek Language teachers in a fully equipped classroom of the Center, at 2 Lithis and Agiou Meletiou Street, and are held in vivo during morning, noon and afternoon.

Furthermore, in the context of a holistic approach to tackling gender and multiple discrimination, psychological support and job counseling is provided to the beneficiaries of the lessons by experienced staff.

Upon completion of the course, a certificate of successful completion corresponding to the level of language proficiency will be granted by the Center.
